In “The Great Gatsby” The characterization creates a tone of happiness between what they have and what they desire. yes a lot of happiness in this book depended on wealth. Characters in the book and anyone in the world wants to feel happy.
Fitzgerald attitude is probably that happiness is very hard to achieve. No one settles for what they have they always want more. Gatsby dedicated his life into getting wealthy and trying to get back with the woman he loved.
I think things like wealth can't buy you anything you want.There is a lot of things wealth cant buy like happiness and love . Like gatsby he was rich , but money couldn't buy happiness or daisy.
